ADF International is looking for a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Director to manage and oversee all Human Resource related practices and procedures. The Human Resource Director will be tasked with managing, evaluating, and implementing employee relation and HR policies, programs, and practices, as well as day-to-day HR responsibilities. The Human Resource Director will also have the ability to identify & initiate change management directives on a continual basis.
Job Responsibilities
• Reports to the General Manager all things Human Resource related
• Supervises recruitment and HR departments, as well as provides oversite to all office staff to include time and attendance, workload evaluation, performance reviews and training and education.
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws; conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings
• Directs and administers the grievance procedures of the union contract and acts as liaison with union representatives; interprets and advises on the Collective Bargaining Agreement; participates in all union/employer meetings
• Develops & implements “best practices” for HR policies & benefits, talent management (including performance reviews), compensation and employee relations
• Plans, creates, implements and manages HR programs that align with ADF’s pre-established cultural beliefs and that contribute to the future growth of the company
• Maintains Worker’s Compensation Return to Work Program; liaison with workers compensation insurance carrier, liaison with medical providers; work with Health and Safety Manager on Safety Action Plan
• Maintains departmental records and reports, analyzes and presents outcomes in relation to established goals and provides recommendations for updating current initiatives & procedures.
• Oversees organizational development to include cultural beliefs, employee expectations, and employee satisfaction; provides managers training and assistance to properly coach, discipline and resolve employees’ grievances
Qualifications
• Bachelors of Science in Human Resource Management or Business Administration
• Minimum 7 years of progressive Human Resource experience
• Currently certified under Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and/or Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) strongly preferred
• 5 years of management experience preferred
• Expertise utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to include word processing and data management
