Unfortunately, with the current world climate, we are all susceptible to becoming victims of an armed intruder. In this course we will discuss recent events and you will learn ways to survive one of these violent incidents.
Speaker: Sergeant Jim Wells, GFPD
Sergeant Jim Wells, Training Coordinator for the Great Falls Police Department, is a 27 year
veteran of the department. Sgt. Wells’ duties include supervision of officers, scheduling/conducting training for the department as well as other law enforcement agencies and organizations. He directs the department’s firearms and TASER programs, is the department’s Joint Terrorism Task Force liaison,and coordinates the department’s media relations. Wells has served as a patrol officer, narcotics detective and patrol supervisor. A graduate of Montana State University Bozeman, Sergeant Wells is also a professional photographer whose work has been published nationally and can routinely be found in Signature Montana Magazine.
