Presentation: Emotional Intelligence and Managing Passion in Leadership
Presenter: Shannon Stober
Verve Exchange
Session Title: Harnessing Passion
Session Description: Passion, defined as a strong and barely controllable emotion, is frequently cited as a critical element of leadership. And it’s true, our passion has the potential to inspire others and elevate our efforts. However, in our ever-intensifying world our passions can easily shift from barely controlled to uncontrolled, resulting in conditions that work both against us and the people we are engaged with. In this high-energy and interactive session, we’ll explore the roots of passion and review a variety of perspective-taking and emotional intelligence strategies that can be used to harness our passions and raise our leadership.
